Retino-A Cream is used for treating acne. It may also be used for other concerns as based on a medical expert.
How to use
Use Retino-A Cream as directed by your physician. Check the label for the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
Retino-A Cream is perfect for external just use.
Remove all cosmetics using a mild soap before applying Retino-A Cream. Gently dry the region. Wait 20 to 30 minutes to be sure that your epidermis is totally dry.
Apply a thin film of medicine towards the involved area. Rub in gently.
Wash the hands immediately after using Retino-A Cream.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Retino-A Cream is a vitamin A derivative. How it exerts its beneficial effects against acne breakouts are not fully known. Tretinoin seems to increase skin-cell turnover also to lessen the tendency for skin cells to stay together. This cuts down on formation of acne and allows quicker healing of acne that does develop.
If you miss a dose of Retino-A Cream, skip the missed dose and get back to your family dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses simultaneously.
Store Retino-A Cream at room temperature, between 59 and 80 degrees F (15 and 26 degrees C). Store in a very tightly closed container. Store away from heat and light-weight. Keep Retino-A Cream out from the reach of youngsters and faraway from pets.
Possible Side Effects
All medicines may cause unwanted side effects, but some people have no, or minor, unwanted side effects. Check with your medical professional if all of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:
Redness, peeling, or sense of warmth; sensitivity to sunlight; skin irritation; stinging at application site.
Seek medical attention right away if these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergy symptoms (rash; hives; itching; breathlessness; tightness in the chest; swelling with the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); severe redness, swelling, blistering, or crusting of the skin.
