INDICATIONS
Pariet is employed for that treatment of stomach ulcers, ulcers inside the duodenum (the location in the small intestine that lies just after the stomach), the the signs of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
In combination with two antibiotic agents, Pariet is employed for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori. Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria which is strongly linked to stomach ulcerations and chronic gastritis.
Pariet relieves the signs and symptoms of reflux and ulcers by slowing the secretion of acid from the cells that line the stomach. It does this by inhibiting a single sort of enzyme (a protein that enables other chemical reactions to occur faster) termed as a 'proton pump' that's needed to make acid. So, by inhibiting this enzyme, the final stage in acid production is stopped.
