INDICATIONS
Aricept is used for treating dementia (eg, impairment of memory, judgment, and abstract thinking; changes in personality) in patients with Alzheimer disease. Aricept can be a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by helping the volume of a specific substance (acetylcholine) inside brain, that might reduce the symptoms of dementia in patients with Alzheimer disease.
INSTRUCTIONS
Use Aricept as directed from your doctor.

STORAGE
Store Aricept at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store far from heat, moisture, and light-weight. Do not store inside the bathroom. Keep Aricept out of the reach of children and from pets.

All medicines could cause unwanted side effects, but a majority of individuals have no, or minor, unwanted effects.
Check with your doctor if these most common unwanted effects persist or become bothersome:
Abnormal dreams; diarrhea; dizziness; lack of appetite; muscle cramps; nausea; tiredness; sleep problems; vomiting; weight-loss.
Seek medical help immediately if all of these severe side effects occur:
Severe hypersensitive reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness within the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody or black, tarry stools; chest pain; decreased urination; depression; fainting; fever; seizures; severe dizziness or headache; shortness of breath; slow or irregular heartbeat; swelling in the hands, ankles, or feet; unusual bruising; tremor.
