Zocor can be used for lowering high-cholesterol and triglycerides in a few patients. It also increases high-density lipoprotein (HDL, "good") levels of cholesterol. It is also used using patients to lessen the chance of cardiac arrest, stroke, circulatory blockage, or chest pain caused by angina. Zocor is definitely an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, also known as a "statin." It works by lowering the creation of certain fatty substances within the body, including cholesterol.

STORAGE
